Yalla, DevRel LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Kindled ("the Service"), an AI training platform available at kindled.quest and through our iOS app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Kindled:

Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored securely using hashing)
  • Organization name and details

Payment Information

  • Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe (web) or RevenueCat/Apple (iOS). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

Learning Data

  • Lesson progress and completion status
  • Module progress
  • Exercise responses

Analytics Data

  • We use GoatCounter for website analytics, which is a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It tracks only basic page view data (page URL, referrer, browser, and screen size).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Track your learning progress across modules and lessons
  • Personalize training content for your organization
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, subscription updates)
  • Improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Kindled. Each service receives only the data necessary to perform its function:

Stripe

Processes payments on the web. Stripe receives your payment card details, billing address, and email. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

RevenueCat

Manages iOS app subscriptions through Apple's App Store. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and subscription status. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Turso

Hosts our database (managed SQLite). Your account information and learning progress are stored in Turso. Their privacy policy is available at turso.tech/privacy-policy.

Resend

Sends transactional emails on our behalf. Resend receives your email address and name to deliver messages. Their privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

GoatCounter

Provides privacy-friendly website analytics without cookies. No personally identifiable information is collected. Their privacy policy is available at goatcounter.com/help/privacy.

5. Cookies

Kindled does not use tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (GoatCounter) is cookie-free. We may use essential cookies strictly necessary for the Service to function, such as session authentication tokens. These are not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregate data (such as overall course completion rates) may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

For All Users

  • Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: You can request that we delete your account and associated personal data.

For EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have additional rights including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract (providing you the Service) and your consent where applicable.

For California Residents (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your data, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

8. Data Storage and iOS App

On the web, your data is stored in Turso (managed SQLite). The iOS app stores some data locally on your device using AsyncStorage for offline access and performance. Subscription data on iOS is managed through RevenueCat and Apple's App Store infrastructure.

9. Children's Privacy

Kindled is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls on our database and infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
